2013 I-RtI Network Statewide Conference

The second annual I-RtI Network Statewide Conference provided district and school personnel, including administrators, the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skills, and abilities in supporting the implementation of RtI/MTSS as an integral part of district and school improvement.  Districts were encouraged to attend in teams in order to take advantage of all of the conference sessions.

Conference Overview

Day 1:  8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Dr. George Batsche illustrated and discussed how the many Core/Tier 1 educational initiatives being implemented in our schools today (e.g., PBIS, Common Core, PARCC, Danielson) are interconnected, including how all of these initiatives fit within the framework of and are supported by RtI/MTSS practices.  Throughout the day, he engaged participants in activities that built on this content.  Materials from his presentation may be accessed via the links below.

After lunch, there was a short panel discussion titled: "Integration of Initiatives: Practical Perspectives," and a link to materials from that session is provided below.

Day 2:  8:00 am - 1:30 pm (registration begins at 7:30 am)

Through elementary and secondary level breakout sessions that addressed key RtI/MTSS issues, focus transitioned from Tier 1 to Tier 2.  These interactive sessions featured I-RtI Network staff and educators from implementing districts as  co-presenters.  Network staff provided training, tools, and activities to facilitate collaborative learning, and district presenters shared their experiences, tools, and tips for implementation.

  • Fee:  The two-day conference registration fee is $160 per person.
  • Deadline:  Monday, September 16, 2013, or earlier if the conference fills.
  • Process:  All participants must register online via Eventbrite by clicking herePlease complete the online registration as a district.  Be sure to register early, as space is limited to six (6) participants per district to ensure opportunities for other districts to attend. 
    Note:  Unfortunately, we are unable to accept out-of-state registrations.
  • Payment Options:  Payment options available through the Eventbrite online registration system are credit card and check.
